Introduction
The following information has been assembled drawing on my experience as an English teacher, translator and corrector of texts written by non-native English-speakers.
The material is not a course, nor grammar reference book. Instead, it is a series of recommendations and tips, which should help you improve the quality of your writing, by avoiding the most common mistakes native-speaking French writers tend to make in English.
For more detailed information (aimed at students but useful for everyone), the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill provides excellent infomartion at its on-line Writing Center.
Any comments about this webpage or suggestions for extending the activities are welcome, and can be sent to me at: nicholas.sowels@univ-paris1.fr
